7a. HORSEBACK RIDING IN THE POIPU AREA Experienced guides with a maximum of eight riders take you on an enjoyable ride. All rides are in Western Saddles, weight limit is 250 pounds, no pregnant women or children under 7 may ride. Check-in time is 30 minutes prior to departure of ride. The stables are located about 5 minutes drive from the Hyatt Kauai. 9. ATV ADVENTURE RIDES (Add $5 for roundtrip transportation from south shore hotels) KOLOA TOUR - An adventurous 3-hour (2.5 hours of riding) tour through private property on Kauai’s south shore. You’ll ride through half-mile cane tunnel, see major movie sites, and learn about Kauai’s plant and animal life from very knowledgeable guides. Snacks, beverages and rental clothes provided. ATV or Mud Bug – driver $130.50 per person ATV or Mud Bug Passengers (1 pax) $109.50 per person WATERFALL TOUR – Ultimate in off-road experiences! A 4-hour adventure to TWO private Waterfalls. 11. BLUE LAGOON KAYAK ADVENTURE - 3 hour tour A three-hour guided tour along the scenic Hanalei River and Bay Reef Lagoon accompanied by charming water-borne natural historians. Safe family enjoyment with the land, water, fauna and flora genuinely interpreted. All Year, except Sundays. Check in at 9:15am or 1:15pm at Kayak Kauai's Hanalei headquarters on Kuhio Highway in Hanalei, one mile west past Hanalei bridge. COST: $62.50 Adult $47 Children under 12 yrs.
12. KAUAI MOVIE COASTAL LAND TOUR One of Kauai's most popular tours !! See scenic vistas of Kauai and beautiful locations of many Hollywood movies and television shows! Ride in air-conditioned, 14-seater mini-bus featuring a TV monitor for viewing movie scenes while at the location they were filmed. Travel to Hanamaulu where Donovan’s Reef was filmed, Coco Palms, home of Elvis’ Blue Hawaii, Aliamanu site for Voo Doo Island, and Anini where Honeymoon in Las Vegas was filmed, then finish the tour at the Hanalei pier, where films such as South Pacific, King Kong, Wackiest Ship in the Army were filmed. Also view famous Bali Hai, from South Pacific! Deli lunch on the beach and refreshment stop included.
