10. BIG ISLAND VOLCANO AIR TOUR A 2 hour adventure flying on this twin-engine, comfortable, air-conditioned, 10 seat, Piper Chieftain aircraft with pilot narration. Every passenger has a large window, stereo headset and their own seat. The morning/day tour departs from Kapalua West Maui Airport while the Sunset Volcano Tour departs from Kahului Commuter Terminal. Highlights are Haleakala Crater, Hana, crossing the Alenuihaha Channel the Northern tip of the Big Island with many waterfalls, Volcanoes National Park, Kilauea Crater and the active volcanoes. Routing varies per weather conditions; some highlights above may be inaccessible on any given tour. HIKING ON MAUI - Meet in commuter lot at corner of Route 350 and 380 diagonal from church in Kahului West Maui Half-day Waterfall Hike - 2.5 miles hike deep into tropical Hawaii along a stream that winds through a lush, forested valley. Following the stream through the trees, thick bamboo, ferns and wild flowers, terraces of ancient Hawaiian gardens, fruit and nut trees, ending at small pools beneath 20 foot waterfall. COST: $109.50pp add $20 for hotel pick-up (Full Day $156.50 no pick-up available) East Maui Half-day Waterfall Hike - A scenic one hour drive on Hana Highway to a private 30 acre arboretum. Descend to a 30-40 foot waterfall for swimming in a deep pool. About 1.5 miles total hike. COST: $109.50pp add $20 for hotel pick-up (Full Day $156.50 no pick-up available) Half-day Mountain Ridge Trail - Incredible panoramic views - enormous valleys; miles and miles of cobalt blue ocean. Hike a mountain ridge from 1000 to 2600 feet through ferns, trees, flowers and native plants, gaze down into a 3,000-foot canyon. Hear birdsong, sample wild fruit and berries, picnic lunch. 4.5 miles COST: $109.50pp no pick-up available 3-Hour Waterfall Rainforest – Hike one mile round trip in a remote valley on West Maui and see a 20 ft waterfall and small pools + swim in pools.
